Download button does not work

Some browsers block data URL downloads. Try these alternatives:

  • Use the Preview button instead — it opens the image in a new tab where you can right-click to save
  • Use the Backup button for an alternative download method
  • Try a different browser (Chrome and Edge work best)

Track does not appear

  • Make sure a background venue is selected (South Field / Jungong Field / North Field)
  • Select a track style from the Style dropdown (not "Default")
  • Click Random to generate a new track
  • Check that "Auto-generate" is enabled if you want the track to update automatically

Preview card looks different from the downloaded image

The export uses an off-screen rendering process (html2canvas) that clones the preview card, repairs canvas state, and removes CSS effects that do not render well in canvas. Minor visual differences between the live preview and the exported image are expected.

Custom background image not showing

  • After uploading a custom map, select it by choosing the appropriate option in the Background dropdown
  • Click Reset next to the upload button to revert to the default map

Settings not saved after closing the page

  • Click Save Config explicitly before closing — settings are not auto-saved
  • Check that your browser allows IndexedDB storage (not in private/incognito mode)
  • Clearing browser data or site data will remove saved settings

Page layout on mobile

HEU-keep is designed primarily for desktop use. The two-panel layout (preview + controls) works best on screens wider than 768px. On mobile, the layout stacks vertically and some form elements may appear cramped. For the best experience, use a desktop or tablet browser.

Report problems via GitHub Issues. Include your browser name and version, and a description of what you were doing when the issue occurred.
